Rice Bean

Rice Bean is nuts seeds grown in the hills of Nepal and northern India. It is under-used plants grown by farmers are under-resourced. Although these small grains have the ability enormous potential into complete plants commonly grown as inter-crop with corn. Potential to be a boon in improving the livelihoods of many poor people have not been fully tapped. Today when the world is booming with scientific advances, the possibility of full that simple step will make this plant a great fury as crop widely cultivated. A vine, small furry appearance characterstic worn bright yellow flowers and edible nuts then small. Beans vary in their colors but striking colors of red and yellow dominant at all.

Scientifically known as Vigna umbellata, this wine is an annual plant. Generally treated as a minor crop and forage crops and weeds at times as well. But with the quality of the bean has it's really a shame for the treatment of lower charges. We can say that because of lack of knowledge and awareness of many of us can not see his qualities. It is very easy to grow Beans Rice because they can withstand different types of soil. Being highly resistant to pests, no need extra care and instead it comes with a large amount of nutritious elements to prove the animal feed and grain quality. A small genetic improvement can show great results in the production of a valuable crop.

Due to lack of attention and lack of scientific breeding types have left this plant as one of the overlooked. However, little research and work to improve the quality of its properties to suit our needs and the plant is highly adaptive to any kind of marginal areas and the soil can be improved as a source of nutrients eaten for the poor who live in the area.

Nutritious Qualifications
bean rice has a protein content was relatively higher than other cereal crops. It contains about 20% protein content. Favorable protein content ensures high digestibility and therefore make food items suitable for small children, women and elderly people with weak digestion. amino acid content suitable for human digestion. And this makes the plant eaten to be believed.

The content of minerals and some vitamins are favorable compared with the principal cereals. Lower fat content and a relatively high proportion of healthy, unsaturated fatty acids make nutritious health package.

Another benefit of the Rice Bean
Being a legume that fixes nitrogen and improve soil fertility to a great extent. When inter-cut, thereby increasing the yield of corn and other staple crops. It also provides ground cover quietly and reduced erosion, and is often planted on the porch steps. Valuable fodder crop residues and is known to increase milk production.

Rice bean commonly grown in marginal soils and fatigue, improves nitrogen balance and replenishing nutrients. In eastern Nepal, it is cultivated in rotation with ginger and other plants, for the benefit of soil nutrients and reduce pests and disease.

Medical Benefits
The Bean Brown rice is used to relieve edema in several diseases and is an integral part of traditional Chinese therapies.
Nuts also help in reducing the redness irritation when combined with Angelica Sinensis.

Seeing the benefits of versatile Beans Rice has suggested that Beans must undergo special treatment and biological science that enables Beans to obtain the proper status as a profitable crop and important. FOSRIN is one such project that has been
funded through the European Commission's INCO program to popularize underused plants that otherwise could be a potential full fledged plant. The project involves eight partners - universities, research institutes and NGOs in Europe and Asia, and has adopted a client-oriented approach, working closely with farmers and other stakeholders. The future approach that seems to brighten the hopes of a solution for the poor farmers who never ending problem.

In this project the various aspects involved in the cultivation of these plants will be considered:
Marketing (which will include a network of supply chain and demand)

Characterization :

Genetic diversity and traditional knowledge
Molecular diversity
Germplasm characterization
Nutrition and health
Each area requires proper work, research and strategy. And this strategy will be designed by renowned specialists and expertise of scientists in hopes of reviving the descendants of cross guarantee that will ensure increased yields and enhanced features of the plant.

Some of the features that make the defective plant is as follows:

Low seed yield
Photo-period sensitivity
Indeterminate growth
Sporadic and asynchronous flowering
Dihescent pods and small, hard seed
Susceptibility to pests and diseases
Destroying vulnerability
However, all these features can be seen through a variety of research and work on allowing new varieties to overcome obstacles.

Some words of caution
Ricebean contains phytic acid, polyphenols, tannins, trypsin inhibitors, anti-nutrients, and flatus producing oligosaccharides. However, the contents of all of this is lower than in many comparable pulse. Effect is greatly reduced through common cooking practices such as soaking, germination, dry-roasting and cooking, also has found that Bean Rice contains no toxic or allergic component
